Language Code Page selection when importing into a TM

In Déjà Vu X2 when importing a file into Translation Memory (TM) or TermBase (TB) language code page selection is important. Below you will find how to import a Korean-English bilingual Excel file into DVX2 TM (please note that I don't speak any Korean).

Now we select Excel 95/97/2000/XP. Unfortunately Excel 2007/2010 xlsx files are not supported (yet) when importing into TM/TB.

What we see here, only question marks!!  No worries, click Next

In this page select Import As for Field 1.

And make required settings. Select Unicode not Unicode (UTF-8) as Code Page .

Make the settings for Field 2 as well.

In the next page you can select to Remove duplicate segments (not required in our example), then click on Finish and Close. All segments are imported successfully and Korean characters are displayed correctly.
